Dr. Misha Susoeff
B.Med Sc, D.D.S.
Finally… we are opening our new practice. It has been four long years of planning & preparation & I’m sure I have thought of everything.
I am so excited to be a part of the southwest Edmonton community, this is where I live and am raising my family. Something about this part of town feels special, and I strive to provide a special experience to my patients.I am combining thousands of hours of education and some of the most amazing technology and staff under one roof to offer what I believe to be an unmatched patient experience. I’m honoured and privileged to have this opportunity to serve my neighbours.
2015 will mark my ninth year practicing dentistry and from humble beginnings feel that I am truly finding my stride. My current philosophy is shaped by my experiences in private practice thus far. When I graduated from the U of A dental program in 2006 I was asked to remain at the school as a clinical instructor. It has been said that the highest form of learning is to teach, and in my experience this is irrefutable. When I first began teaching I was surprised to be challenged again and again. The students are sharp, and they force the understanding of fundamentals to refinement and depth.
I was lucky to find an associateship at Meadowlark Dental Centre where under the guidance of two experienced mentors Dr. Ken Luft and Dr. Ed McIntyre I was encouraged to explore my interest in surgery and dental implants. I formed a relationship with Nobel Biocare, the worlds largest dental implant company, and, quite to my surprise and without intention have become one of their top partners.
Despite the success of my implant practice, general dentistry remains my focus. The most rewarding aspect of my profession is the relationships built with families, which as my career progresses, I hope to see grow many generations deep. I endeavour to treat every new patient for a lifetime. With this in mind, my treatment recommendations for each person is tailored for a good outcome for later in life, not just today.
I once attended a motivational seminar where the speaker said: “If you serve people unselfishly to the very best of your ability every time you wont be able to stop success. It will break down your door and engulf you.” I hope to prove him right.
So, with the support of my amazing family and the confidence of an incredible team we commence a new adventure.
Welcome to Southwest Smiles. I am privileged to serve you!
